Terms of Service and Data License

These terms are between you and DugganUSA LLC, a Minnesota company. They cover our threat intelligence feed and our search API. If you use them, you agree to these terms.

What you get

We send you information. We do not run security for you.

The data is lists of risky IP addresses, domains and file hashes. Each one has a score. You get it as CSV, plain text, STIX, TAXII or MISP. You can also search it with our API.

We do not install anything. We do not run anything on your systems. We do not block anything for you.

What we don't promise

The data is provided "as is." That means you get it the way it is, with no promises about it.

We do not promise the data is right. We do not promise it is complete. We do not promise it will always be there. We do not promise it fits your needs.

Each score is our best guess. We never score anything above 95. Some of what we send will be wrong.

You choose what to block

You decide what to block. We never do.

You pick how sure a score must be with the min_confidence setting. For example, our own edge uses 80. Your firewall, DNS filter or SIEM pulls the data and uses your rules. What you block, and what happens when you block it, is up to you.

If we get something wrong

Think we got one wrong? Email [email protected] with the indicator. We will check it. If it is wrong, we take it out of the feed for everyone. We try to be quick, but we can't promise a time.

Where the data comes from

Some data is ours. We see it on our own honeypots and in our own research. Some data comes from public lists run by others. We name the source of each list.

We share those public lists with credit. We do not say they are our own finds.

Those sources have their own terms. Their terms still apply to their data. Some of them limit business use. If that applies to you, it is your job to follow their terms.

Limitation of liability

This section is our limitation of liability. It means there is a cap on what we owe you if something goes wrong.

The most we will owe you is what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If you use the free tier, that is zero.

We are not responsible for indirect or follow-on losses. That includes lost profits, lost data, lost business or downtime.

Rules for using the data

API keys

Keep your API key secret. It is like a password. If a key is abused, we may turn it off.

Free tier

The free tier comes with no promises. We may change it or stop it.

Support

We help by email, on a best-effort basis. We do not promise a response time. This is true on every tier.

Privacy

Our privacy policy is at dugganusa.com/post/dugganusa-privacy-policy. We do not take student data.

If there is a breach

If we confirm a security incident that affects your account or the integrity of the feed, we will tell you. We will tell you without unreasonable delay. We will tell you within 72 hours of confirming it.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms. We will post the new version on this page. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the change.

You can stop using the service at any time. We may end your access if you break these terms.

Minnesota law

These terms follow Minnesota law. That means the laws of the State of Minnesota decide what these terms mean.
